SPRINTS

UTFCBlock Starts - Border offers a comprehensive sprints training and coaching program for all ages and abilities. The sprints program focuses on running technique, acceleration and speed endurance and is tailored for the 100m, 200m and 400m events. Emphasis is placed on physical/mental preparation and race planning.

UTFC’s sprint sessions combined with its strength and conditioning program, will give athletes the power and explosiveness necessary for the block start and drive phase.

Fast twitch drills, plyometrics and speed endurance training are key fundamentals to sprinting and, when combined, will help assist in an athlete’s development as a sprinter.
